A new sport is kicking off in the county with the opening of Lincolnshire’s first Footgolf course on Sunday (January 11).
The game makes its debut with the official launch event at The Elms Golf Centre in Wainfleet. Skegness mayor George Saxon will be cutting the ribbon before the action gets underway.
Teams from Skegness United and Skegness Town then take to the course to renew their rivalry with a round of footgolf which involves kicking footballs into a hole. Footgolf has been Britain’s fastest growing sport over the last 12 months. The public are invited to come along and participate for free on the day which starts from 10.30am. Trainers should be worn and footballs and scorecards will be provided. For more information call The Elms Golf Centre on 01754 881230.
