Players will be hoping to net a hole in one at a charity foot golf tournament for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Hosted by the Elms Foot Golf Centre in Wainfleet, the Macmillan team are hoping to inspire teams of friends and family to take part in the foot golf themed day on Sunday, August 2.
The day involves a nine hole game on the foot golf course, and extras at the clubhouse, including a BBQ, raffle and more.
Pete Cole, owner of the Elms Range, said: “Using a football makes golf more accessible to all ages and abilities. It doesn’t matter whether you can play normal golf or not, just have a go at kicking the ball around the course.”
He added: “Having experienced the work Macmillan do in Skegness through family members, I’m thrilled to be hosting this event and am pleased to say the entry fee of only £20 per team will go straight to the charity.”
Jamie Davenport, fundraising manager for Macmillan in Skegness, said: “This is the first Foot Golf day for Macmillan I have ever heard of, and I can think of no better place to hold it than in Skegness. The local people are always supportive and I can’t wait to see the teams ‘kicking off’ on the day.”
