Floodlight plan is given support

A PLAN to install 19 floodlights at a businesses site in Skegness was supported by the town council at a recent meeting.

The lights would be installed on seven poles reaching a maximum height of five metres by eight meters and two poles with twin lights and one on an existing pole at the Ramco UK Ltd, Church Road South.

Some councillors at a planning meeting last Tuesday, felt that light pollution could be an issue for the nearby residents but others felt that a business wishing to protect its assets and potentially bring in new machinery, was a positive thing.
