Five arrested in Skegness on suspicion of possessing drugs

Enquiries are continuing today after five visitors from Leicester were arrested in Skegness in connection with alleged possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Their vehicle was stopped and searched by police on Roman Bank yesterday. The arrested parties were three males, aged 16, 27 and 28, and two 19-year-old women.

The 16-year-old was released without charge and the others are on police bail until next year.

A statement on the Skegness CID Twitter page said one of them was released without charge today and four were released on bail pending examination of drugs and phones.

Leicester police have been assisting with enquiries.
