Firefighters attend summer house blaze in Spilsby Meadows

A ‘summer house’ and car were damaged after a fire at a property in Spilsby Meadows earlier today (Monday).

Firefighters from Spilsby and Wainfleet were scrambled shortly before 9.15am after a fire broke out at a property.

Fire crews said a summer house, its contents and fence were severely damaged by the blaze.

Light heat damage was also caused to a Renault Scenic and the window frames and glass of the property.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze using two hose reel jets and drags.

Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue said the cause was believed to be an electrical fault.
