Shoppers in Skegness can pick up some festive fire safety advice along with their Christmas presents this week
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue will be opening their annual fire safety shop in the Hildreds Centre from 10am on Tuesday (December 9).
Visitors to the interactive shop can take part in spotting festive fire hazards, find out about the importance of smoke alarms and book a free home safety check.
The shop will be open for eight days with firefighters on hand to provide safety advice for the home in the run up to Christmas. Children from schools around Skegness will be joining the crew to learn how to keep safe this winter.
Sophie Brownridge, a firefighter from Skegness Station, said: “We would like to invite everyone of all ages to come and see us at our interactive Christmas safety shop, and to take part in spotting all of the different fire hazards that we have hidden around our Christmas scene to get you in a safe festive spirit.
“We will be open from 1.30pm – 5pm in the week and 10am – 4.30pm at weekends, so please come down, meet the team and find out more about keeping safe in your home and in the local community.”
