Fire safety push hits social media

LINCOLNSHIRE Fire and Rescue is now using social networking to help make residents safer.

The service is joining Twitter and Facebook as a way of getting in touch with local people and spreading important safety advice.

Anyone with access to the internet will be able to use the social networking sites to follow Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and learn more about what it does.

It’s hoped that the sites will help the service reach out to even more people and also encourage some of them to become on-call firefighters. The latest recruitment and fire station open days will be among the events being promoted.

Follow Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue on Twitter at and on Facebook at Official Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue.
