The third annual Fire Fighters charity ball at Grand Central, Skegness was another huge success, raising a fantastic £1406.50.
The evening was full of fantastic entertainment, delicious food, a fabulous raffle, excellent photography by Wrates and a great atmosphere. The raffle included prizes such as a cable ski at Water Leisure Park, spa experience at Butlins, meal vouchers for Churchill’s, Gunby Inn and Branston Hall, family passes for Fantasy Island, Rushmoor Country Park and Squawk on the Wild Side, child passes to White Post Farm, day out to Lincoln Castle and many more kindly donated by generous companies and people. With fantastic entertainment from Liam Maddison and the dancers, lots of fun and dancing was had by all.
Fire fighter Gemma Moore said: “The funds raised go directly towards helping serving and retired fire fighters, service personnel and their dependents providing world class treatment and support services. It costs £9 million a year to keep the charity running and with no government funding, it is completely reliant on the generosity of others. Being a fire fighter is a life of bravery, loyalty and devotion to public service. The charity is passionate about the work they provide to men and women who risk their lives to save others. A special thanks to Matty Dickinson and Gary Bangham at Grand Central, we would also like to thank those involved, attended and contributed for their continued support.”
