Students raise more than £350 at summer fayre

ALFORD pupils have helped to raise over £350 for their student council.

The cash was raised when John Spendluffe Technology College in Alford held a Summer Fayre with a Jubilee twist recently.

“Every tutor group ran a stall, including cakes, a chocolate fountain, treasure maps, bric a brac and hook a duck, to mention but a few, of the amazing activities that were going on at lunchtime,” said a spokesperson.

“Students raised over £350 for their student council and the support and team based atmosphere from students across all year groups resulted in the best Fayre so far.

“It was, indeed, a day to remember,” they added.
