Eight sixth form students from the Skegness Academy recently passed their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).

They were all really positive about the experience and some of them even met up at 7.30am to practice their swim tests, before the course started at 9am, said a school spokesperson.

Mrs Oldfield, director of post-16 Studies, said: “It was lovely to see the students so engaged with the learning and working so well as a group.”

The course supervisor from the Embassy Swimming Pool was very complimentary about all the students and praised them on their dedication and professionalism throughout.

He said they were ‘a credit’ to the Academy.
