Seathorne Primary School in Ingoldmells have been educating their pupils about road safety for Bike to School Week.

Their Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSO) are currently educating children at the school on how to keep safe when using the roads out of school time.

The school have been working closely with the Ryan Smith Foundation, who recently lead a whole school assembly about keeping safe on bikes, following local teens Ryan Smith’s injuries while not wearing a cycle helmet.

JRSO’s lead an assembly on ‘keeping safe in the car’ and the school held a ‘Be Bright, Be Seen’ day, where the whole school dressed in bright clothes.

The school is currently running a design a cycling helmet competition in relation to Bike to School Week, as well as entering a competition against other local schools to complete a virtual cycling race.
