Hogsthorpe Primary Academy is celebrating after a report by Ofsted found the school to be “good”.

The achievement of the pupils, quality of teaching, and leadership and management at the school were all rated ‘good’ by the inspector, while the behaviour of the pupils was labelled ‘outstanding’.

The headteacher was also praised for her “inspirational leadership” and is “supported exceptionally well by her very capable teachers”.

Karin Nicholls, Headteacher, said: “This is a fantastic achievement. It was great to hear the inspectors confirm what we already thought, that we have some outstanding teaching, a committed governing body and staff work well together so every child achieves their best.

“The one thing that we are most pleased about is the comment that Ofsted made about our students. They said that ‘pupils are very happy, exceptionally polite and very caring towards one another’.”
