Fine dining was on the menu when students from Skegness Grammar School dined like Lords with friends from other schools.

The pupils were joined by four David Ross Educational Trust Schools who visited the grammar school’s sixth form and experienced boarding at Wainfleet Hall Boarding House before taking up
the invitation to tour the House of
Lords and dine there, as guests of Lord

A school spokesman said : “We toured parts of the House of Lords in Westminster that are rarely open to the public, from the grandeur of Westminster Hall to the busy ‘Corridors of Power’.

“For many, the highlight was watching Lord Richards of Herstmonceux being introduced as a Lord, after prayers, in the House of Lords session of business for the day.

“The three course meal in the remarkable Peers’ Dining Room, in the company of Lord Marland and the Academy Sponsor, David Ross, was wonderful.

“All pupils agreed that it was an experience that they would remember for the rest of their lives.

“A fabulous two days of new friendships, new experiences and new horizons.”
