Fabulous versions of famous paintings created a blaze of colour as Spilsby Primary pupils staged their very own art exhibition.

The Year 1 and 2 children were inspired to pay homage to legendary artists such as Picasso, Kandinsky and Karl Warmer as part of their Mess and Mixtures topic. Another part of the exhibition, at the Franklin Hall, focussed on skills of mixing different colours, shades and tones. The children also displayed their skills in using art as a vehicle to teach science and IT skills.

The exhibition held an open day where children could share their achievements with their parents and pupils from Spilsby’s partnership school, Gipsey Bridge Academy in Boston.

Staff from the school and the Franklin Hall, were delighted to have been able to work on such a lovely community project.
