“Distressing” Skegness arson attack sparks appeal

Police in Skegness have urged for witnesses to come forward after a “distressing” arson attack in the town in the early hours of Thursday morning.

At approximately 3.15am on Thursday a fire was discovered at the rear of a property close to the junction of Drummond Road and Serena Road in Skegness.

“Unknown offenders had placed a mattress against the rear of the property before setting it alight. The fire caused damage to the rear of the property,” said PCSO Dave Bunker.

“This incident has caused considerable distress to the victims and police appeal for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area to contact them as soon as possible.”
