Weekend curfew for Burgh man

A 26-YEAR-OLD man, who broke a court order not to go into licensed premises, now faces a weekend curfew.

Vidal Peak, of Brewery Lane, Burgh le Marsh, was given a 12 month community order with 12 months supervision and a requirement not to enter licensed premises for four months whilst receiving treatment, after being convicted of assault at Skegness Magistrates Court on September 9.

However, just three weeks later, on October 1, Peak was seen by police to go into the LA Café night club in Skegness.

Peak admitted the breach of his order when he appeared at Skegness Magistrates’ Court.

Mitigating, Mr Saleem Khan said it was the first time Peak had breached the order and that a report from the Probation Service indicated that he had overall complied well with the order apart from this lapse.

The magistrates told Peak that he must be punished for breaching the order and ordered he observe a curfew from 8pm to 7am every Friday and Saturday for the next month, and that he would be electrically monitored to make sure he did.
