Update: Skegness man dies after sustaining head injuries

A 53-year-old Skegness man died today (Tuesday) after sustaining serious head and facial injuries following an incident in the town.

Two men, aged 38 and 45, arrested in connection with the incident, remained in police custody this morning and were being interviewed.

The injured man was admitted to Pilgrim Hospital, Boston on Sunday evening in a critical condition after arriving by ambulance from an address in South Parade, Skegness, said police.

The police were contacted by concerned A&E staff at the hospital following his admission.

A scene guard was put in place at the address in Skegness while a forensic examination was carried out.
