Teenage passenger suffers serious injuries in crash

A 19-year-old man has suffered serious injuries in a road traffic collision.

Emergency services were called to the A1115 Ashby Road, near Spilsby, shortly before 8pm yesterday (Thursday), where a blue Landrover Defender had left the road, ending up on its roof in a field.

A 19-year-old man from Skegness, who was a passenger in the vehicle, suffered spinal and chest injuries and is in a serious condition in Boston Pilgrim Hospital.

The driver is a 20-year-old man from Ashby By Partney, was not seriously injured, say police.

The road was reopened by 2am.
