Skegness man injured in ‘apparently unprovoked attack’ with ‘something like a baseball bat’

A 39-year-old Skegness man has been injured during an ‘apparently unprovoked attack’ with ‘something like a baseball bat’ as he exited an alleyway in the town last night (Thursday).

The victim suffered cuts and bruises after being struck on the leg as he emerged from the alley which runs between Burgh Road and Beacon Park Drive at around 9.25pm.

The two male attackers are described as being slim, around 5’8” or 5’9” wearing dark clothing and may have had ‘Brummie’ accents. One was thought to be in his early 20s and the other in his 30s.

The victim managed to punch one of the offenders in the face and he may have sustained a facial injury.
