Skegness arson suspect released on police bail

A suspect arrested in connection with an arson attack in Skegness has been released on police bail.

It follows the blaze at a building consisting of several flats at Lancaster Avenue on Saturday.

The 24-year-old woman has been released on police bail until November 25 while enquiries continue.

Six residents had to be rescued by the Fire and Rescue Service who reported the blaze to the police. All were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. One man was treated at Pilgrim Hospital, Boston and later discharged.

Anyone in the area between 1.30 and 1.45pm who saw anything suspicious or has any information about the fire should contact Det Sgt Andy Harwood.
