Six people are in custody following a ‘serious assault’ in Skegness where a 39-year-old local man sustained ‘significant head and facial injuries’.
A statement by Lincolnshire Police said officers attended Scarborough Avenue, shortly before midnight yesterday (Thursday), where the man was found.
He was taken to Pilgrim Hospital, in Boston, for treatment.
They said a 37-year-old local man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray.
A blue Peugeot which left the area following the incident was later stopped on the A158 near Lincoln and the occupants of the car, four men and two women in their 20s from Nottinghamshire, were arrested on suspicion of assault.
The statement added that one of the men in the vehicle was found to have facial injuries and taken to Lincoln County Hospital for treatment.
