A man has been jailed for seven and a half years after being found guilty of sexual offences against a young girl in Skegness.
Dwayne Arnold, 32, was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court yesterday, Wednesday May 13, after he was found guilty by a jury of three count of sexual assault of a child, committed in July and August 2013 in the town.
A jury also found him guilty of:
Causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity,
Causing a child to watch a sexual act,
Engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
He was sentenced to seven and a half years by Judge Pini. He was issued with a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years and issued with a restraining order for 10 years.
DC Tony Hatfield investigated the case. Speaking after the sentencing he said, “The victim in this case bravely and courageously reported the abuse to an adult on August 31 2013 who was then able to safeguard her and alert the police.
“Lincolnshire Police are satisfied with the verdict and the sentence and hope that the victim and her family can now move forward with their lives.”
