POLICE have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to after an attempted burglary at a Skegness school.

Two men forced their way into the Viking Preparatory School in the early hours of Wednesday, August 3.

And police have now released a CCTV image of a man they wish to trace in connection with the incident.

A police spokesperson said: “Two male offenders gained entry to the school in the early hours of Wednesday, August 3 by forcing the rear doors.

“It is believed they may have been seeking cash or a safe as they ignored laptops and other equipment and forced the door of the school office, leaving the building empty handed when the alarm activated.

“The burglars left via the graveyard at the rear of the school, possibly then travelling along the footpath towards Lincoln Road,” they added.

The school is located on Church Road North.

Anyone with information about the crime, or who may recognise the man in the CCTV footage, should contact DC Michael Parsons at Skegness CID on 0300 111 0300 and quote ‘incident 185 of August 3’.
