Police appeal over Skegness street robbery

Police have appealed for witnesses and information after a woman was robbed in the street in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The victim, a 34 year-old local woman, was walking home along Drummond Road between 3.30am and 4am on September 8.

“As she drew near Windy’s Cafe, a man approached her and demanded her valuables. She handed over her watch and two rings and then the offender left the scene,” said a police spokesperson.

“The man is described as being of Asian appearance, aged in his 20s, and approx 5’ 6” to 5’ 8” tall.

“He had short hair and was of stocky build and was wearing a dark long-sleeved top and dark trousers.

“DC Becky Latto is keen to trace any witnesses who were in the area in the early hours of Sunday and who may have seen either the offender or the victim.

“The victim was wearing a sparkly salmon-coloured top, dark trousers, and she has long fair hair,” they added.
