A MAN is set to appear at Lincoln Crown Court on murder charges later this week after a 31-year-old man was beaten to death in Skegness.

Jamie Patrick Rawson (21), was initially remanded in custody on a charge of attempted murder when he appeared at Skegness Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

But he is expected to face a new charge of murder when he next appears in court on Friday, after his alleged victim died of his injuries this week.

The dead man, Peter Charles Schruyers from Skegness, passed-away in Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre on Monday morning after he was assaulted in Wainfleet Road on Wednesday, August 10.

A 25-year-old local man and a 33-year-old local man remain on police bail pending further enquiries in relation to the incident, which occured at 7.40pm on August 10.

Police say they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the matter.
