The operator of a market recently targeted for counterfeit traders has issued its commitment to cracking down on the crime.
Fantasy Island has said it ‘does not condone’ the selling of counterfeit goods on its Eastgate Market in Ingoldmells.
The announcement follows comments made by Lincolnshire Trading Standards last week warning of criminal gangs selling fake goods on the site.
“We co-operate fully with Lincolnshire Trading Standards by supplying names and addresses of any market holders suspected of selling counterfeit goods,” said a spokesperson. “We have amended all the licences issued to stall holders which make it clear that their licence will be revoked if they are found selling counterfeit goods.”
