Man to appear in court in Boston over alleged meat cleaver assault in Skegness

A man who was arrested in connection with a serious assault outside the Stumble Inn, Skegness, during the early hours of Wednesday morning, has been charged.

Adam John Aldred (43), of South Parade, in Skegness, has been charged with possession of a weapon, namely a meat cleaver, GBH, attempted wounding, dangerous driving and failing to provide a specimen of breath.

He will appear before Boston Magistrates this morning (Thursday).

Alexander James Ward (31), of the same address has been charged with common assault and bailed to appear before Skegness Magistrates on November 13.

The 21 year-old who was injured during the alleged assault, sustained a head injury, but has now been released from hospital and is recovering at home.
