“We will be increasing our marked and unmarked patrols in the area.

“Hopefully this is a one-off incident but may I use this opportunity to advise the community, especially women, to pay attention to people whilst out walking dogs etc in secluded areas.

“If you are concerned about anyone around you, please call Police on 101 or 999 as appropriate.

“It would be prudent to ensure you have a mobile phone on you when out in such areas,” they added.

Should you see anyone matching the description who appears to be acting suspiciously, or if you have any information which may help identify the male, contact 101.
