Man charged with two counts of attempted murder in Skegness

A man has been charged by police with two counts of attempted murder at Skegness.

Anthony Russell, 22, of no fixed address, was charged yesterday (Wednesday) with two counts of attempt murder on July 3.

He has been kept in custody and is appearing at Lincoln magistrates today (Thursday).

Police and ambulance were called to the area of The Imperial Cafe on Lumley Road, Skegness at about 8.20pm on Friday evening to reports that two men had allegedly been stabbed. Both were taken to Pilgrim Hospital, Boston and one was released after treatment. The second man needed further treatment but was later discharged also.

A woman who was arrested as part of the investigation has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
