Knife-wielding thieves in terrifying Ingoldmells robbery

POLICE have launched a hunt for a pair of knife-wielding thieves after a terrifying robbery was carried out in Ingoldmells in broad daylight.

Officers launched their appeal after the knife-point theft near Joe’s Beach Bar at around 8pm on Friday evening (June 17).

The victim was unhurt during the alarming incident.

Launching their investigation into the brazen theft, a police spokesperson said: “A man had been walking down the seafront just past the beach bar when he noticed two men behind him.

“These men ran past him. One turned round, stopped him and produced a knife and demanded cash.

“The victim handed over a wallet containing around £70 in cash and some bank cards,” they added.

The spokesperson added that both of the thieves were white men.

One was described as being around five feet four to six inches tall, of medium build and aged roughly 24 or 25.

He had short, dark hair and was wearing a blue hoodie and blue jeans.

The other man is also described as being around five feet four to six inches tall and of medium build.

He had a shaved head and was wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans at the time of the theft.

The spokesperson added: “The knife made no contact with the victim and he suffered no injuries.

“We are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

“Anyone who was in the area around 8pm on Friday evening and thinks they saw the incident or knows the men should get in touch with local officers.”
