Judge warns Skegness man accused of meat cleaver assault he may face ‘lengthy’ jail sentence

A Skegness man was warned he faces a lengthy jail sentence after admitting a serious assault in the resort when he appeared at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.

Adam Aldred, 43, of South Parade, Skegness, admitted inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent, affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

The charges arose out of an incident in which a 21 year old man was injured during an incident outside the Stumble Inn during the early hours of October 24.

Judge Michael Heath adjourned sentence until December 17 and remanded Aldred into custody saying, “He clearly is going to get a substantial sentence.”
