Grants given to worthy causes

A NUMBER of worthy causes across the area have benefited from generous donations from East Lindsey District Council’s Councillors’ Community Initiative Scheme.

Coun Ken Milner gave £300 to the Skegness Ability Group towards holiday activities for disabled children and young people

Coun Pauline Cooper awarded £1,000 to the Little Steeping Village Hall Management Committee to assist with their maintenance programme and gave £105 to Chapel Primary School and Chapel St Leonards Community Christmas Project. The money will be used to replace the Christmas tree lights.

Coun Hazel Newcombe has given £200 to Hogsthorpe Parish Council as a donation towards updating the village local plan.

And Coun Graham Archer has given £250 to the Ingoldmells and Addlethorpe residents Management Forum to pilot a youth taster scheme.
