Further Update: Man arrested following Burgh Road Bank Holiday collision

A Nottingham man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a collision in Skegness on Monday, May 5.

Emergency services were called near to Southview Leisure Park, at 2.50pm, after a black Vauxhall Astra, a black Citroen C4 and a grey Volkswagen Golf collided.

The occupants of the Astra were a family from Nottingham including three children. One of the children (age and sex not yet confirmed) was taken to Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre with serious bleeding from a leg injury.

A 44 year-old adult and two other children from the Astra were also treated at Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital.

A 40 year-old female from Skegness, who was a passenger in the Citroen, was taken to Pilgrim hospital, together with the 51 year-old male driver of the vehicle.

The A158/Burgh Road remained closed until around 8pm,

The 30-year-old driver of the Golf was arrested and has been bailed until June 3.
