Cashier attacked with crowbar during Alford service station robbery

A cashier was attacked with a metal crowbar during a robbery at an Alford service on Monday night.

The 21-year-old Alford man was taken to Boston Pilgrim Hospital with head injuries following the assault at Ulceby Cross Service Station but has since been discharged.

His 60-year-old female colleague was ‘shocked but unhurt’ after the robbery at around 9.45pm, in which two men took money from the till.

The suspects are described as white males. One was wearing a black tracksuit top and black tracksuit bottoms with a red stripe and the other had a grey hoody and blue tracksuit bottoms.

They left the area in a black car, possibly a Renault, police said.
