Arsonist destroys Chapel caravans

TWO CARAVANS in Chapel St Leonards suffered severe damage in the early hours of Saturday morning in a suspected arson attack.

Firefighters from Skegness and Alford were called to a caravan fire in South Road at 1.21am on Saturday.

A static caravan measuring 10 metres by four metres suffered severe damage. There was also severe damage by heat to a neighbouring caravan and decking, and moderate damage by heat to a street shade.

The blaze was extinguished using two hose reel jets, one covering jet and breathing aparatus. The fire brigade believes the blaze was arson.
