Appeal after children assault woman in Skegness

Police have launched an appeal for information after children as young as ten allegedly assaulted a woman on a mobility scooter in Skegness in broad daylight.

PC Melvin O’Reilly launched the appeal after the incident occurred in Church Road North on Sunday morning.

“A 49 year-old local woman, who was riding her mobility scooter along the road, was allegedly assaulted by two young boys, aged around ten years of age,” said a spokesperson.

“The pair are alleged to have struck the woman and poured a drink on her. The victim suffered a cut lip during the incident.”

The alleged assault occurred around 11am.
