Officers have closed off a section of the A155 at West Keal so that they can reconstruct an accident which took place there in August in which a motorcyclist died.
The road will be closed for one-and-a-half hours and motorists are advised to avoid the area for that time.
A force spokesman thanked people for their cooperation.
They said: “Accident reconstructions are a vital part of the investigation into fatal RTCs. Apologies for any inconvenience this morning”
On August 9, a motorcyclist from the Nottinghamshire was killed in the crash at West Keal.
Emergency services were called out at about 4pm.
The 44-year-old rider of a Kawasaki ZX was pronounced dead at the scene.
