Council works to minimise impact of strike action on residents

East Lindsey District Council is working to minimise the impact of strike action on Thursday, July 10, 2014.

Trade Unions, Unison, Unite and GMB, have balloted their members on the strike action after rejecting a one percent pay offer made to local government workers across the country.

Whilst the Council will do all it can to reduce service disruption on July 10, there may be some.

Residents who usually have a Thursday refuse or recycling collection are advised to put their bins or sacks out as usual.

If your bin or sack isn’t collected on the Thursday, please leave it out and it will be collected as soon as possible.

The Council will be collecting waste on Saturday.

The Council will know which rounds haven’t been completed so there isn’t a need to report the matter to the Council.

Friday collections will be as normal.

The Council’s Customer Service Centres will remain open as usual.

The Council anticipates that phone lines may be busier than usual on this day so please visit the Council’s website: to see if your query can be dealt with online.
