Named after the owner’s nine-month-old King Charles Spaniel, Alison Lindon admitted she had had a sleepless night about her new venture.
Alison, 25, moved to Spilsby where her parents live from Buckinghamshire six weeks ago. She said: “I’ve been working with animals since I left school at 16 but I was feeling homesick and this shop was perfect for me.
“My dad has helped me decorate it ready for today and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
Coun Rymer said: “I said when i became Mayor that I wanted to see more of the empty shops in Spilsby filled and this is fantastic. There’s nothing like it in the town and I wish Alison every success.”
Dani’s Dogs opens in The Esplanade at Chapel St Leomards on Saturday. Owner Dani Clark, 29, was at the Hildreds Centre on Thursday promoting her new venture with the Princes Trust.
