A community radio station for rural and coastal Lincolnshire is changing how listeners can listen and interact.

LindseyCoast has introduced a new streaming service improving connection through smart devices. A free Android app has been produced, for listening and social networking, found by searching for Lindsey Online.

The station’s text messaging service has been re-introduced following negotiations with the provider keeping the free service and standard rate number 07786 200 690 with the keyword Lindsey.

Texts are included in bundles and listeners will not use premium rate services.

A new website is being launched during the summer with many new features. The project, in partnership with major shareholder Fantasy Island and Skegness Job Centre, has provided work experience to job seekers and will continue to provide opportunities for suitable candidates.

Recent broadcasts include interviews with Team Smith and live sessions from local bands, Time for 15, The Rogues, a new band made up of GCSE students from Spilsby and ex-Sam Newsom student George Wakerley, who recently graduated from The Brighton Institute Of Modern Music.

Station operations director Henry Wright said: “We would like to thank the more than 3000 fans of the station, for their patience during the challenges during the first half of this year, which are all happily resolved now.”
