The group of children spending the run up to Christmas at the Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre in Skegness enjoyed a special Christmas party thanks to a charity.

The Church of the Nazarene invited the holiday centre’s young visitors to take part in an all-age Christmas Praise last Wednesday in Skegness.

It included an interactive Nativity play and Christingle service before providing them with a Christmas buffet bunch, held at The County Hotel.

Lunch was provided courtesy of John and Alison Ramsden from the restaurant ‘His Place’ situated in Skegness High Street.

The County Hotel General Manager, Ross Muirhead played the part of Santa and gave each child a special Christmas present from the Church of a Lion Graphic Bible. The event was also attended by the Mayor of Skegness Coun Jim Carpenter, and Mayoress, Kathleen Cullen.

The Reverend Ian Banks said: “This is the fourth year that we have had the privilege of giving them a Christmas party in the County Hotel.”
