Family and friends and some welcome beers greeted cyclists completing a ride from Hull to Skegness.

The 80 mile route was part of a 64 day Countrywide Great Tour circumnavigating the coastline of Britain.

Staff members from Bairstow Eves estate agents were part of the team taking part in the charity event.

Setting out in bright sunshine, the riders headed across the Humber Bridge arriving at Cleethorpes for lunch.

After another brief break in Mablethorpe it was back in the saddle to set out for Skegness. The team arrived at their destination to a rousing reception and some well earned refreshments.

Bairstow Eves regional director Lisa Rowden raised £490 for Macmillan Cancer Support, one of seven charities backed by the Great Tour .

Lisa said: “I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported me on the bike ride and made a donation. We had a fantastic day completing the 80 mile ride. The training paid off. We had lots of fun and had a brilliant welcoming committee at the end with lots of family and friends coming along to support us. The Skegness team were great hosts providing us with some welcome beers.”

The Midlands leg of the route included riders who were completing the whole 6,800km journey which is due to finish in North Wales on Saturday.

Taking place in tandem with The National Cycling Charity, The Great Tour is organised by the Countrywide estate agents group, which includes Bairstow Eves.
