Cash boost for Hogsthorpe Brownies

Coun Mrs Hazel Newcombe, recently presented Josie Johnson, of the Hogsthorpe 1st Brownies, with a donation of £300.

The money will be used to support the group with running costs.

This includes the purchase of badges and group excursions.

The group meets every Thursday, excluding school holidays, at 6pm, in Hogsthorpe Village Hall.

Coun Newcombe said: “I am happy to support this group which serves not only Hogsthorpe, but also the surrounding area.”

She added: “It is especially well run, thanks to the hard work and dedication of Josie, who will always go that extra mile to ensure the group is an active, happy and most of all enjoyable place to be.”
