A community music festival ‘celebrating everything that’s great about Alford’ is taking place this Saturday.
Alford Rocks will see dozens of talented singers, comedians, dancers and bands perform in the town’s Market Place and Corn Exchange from 2pm.
Tess Turner, owner of Talking Heads hair salon on West Street, has organised the festival to offer a showcase for the town’s talented entertainers, while rallying together the local community for a day of fun and celebration.
“Following on from the success of the Jubilee Festival in 2012 there were many requests for Alford to have a similar event every year,” she said. “A few of us got our heads together and Alford Rocks was born.”
