A new supermarket is to be built in Skegness...in place of the one which currently stands on the site.
German discount chain Lidl has been given the planning green light to demolish its existing store on Richmond Drive in favour of building a new larger store on the same site.
The firm says it does not expect to extend its range of products, but it says the initiative will ‘improve the customer experience’ by widening the space between both the aisles and the check- outs.
The scheme will also incorporate 16 lighting columns, each six metres high and fencing, plus a larger warehouse and bakery.
However, the number of parking spaces will be reduced from 141 to 107.
