ONE of the most successful retailers in Skegness has celebrated 12 years of trading in the heart of the town by unveiling a new look.
Specsavers, at 66 Lumley Road, has undergone a £20,000 refurbishment to enhance the look and feel of the opticians for its customers.
Skegness Specsavers store director Stuart Hogg comments: ‘We’re really excited about our new look store.
“Our customers and team are the heart and soul of the store so it’s imperative that we have a store that is spacious, welcoming and full of the most innovative equipment and widest selection of frames.
“By incorporating state-of-the art technology in our new and existing optical testing rooms we are able to offer locals the highest quality of customer service each and every day, something that is a priority for us here at Specsavers.”
The investment has refreshed the layout by creating new optical testing rooms on the second floor. Brand new equipment has also been added to existing rooms.
In addition the store has a new contact lense fitting area and an expanded waiting area.
The store has also launched a new internal computer system and the team has been kitted out in a brand new uniform.
The frame range has also increased to offer customers more variety, including designer brands such as Osiris, Jasper Conran, Red or Dead, Missoni and GW by Gok Wan.
Installation of new equipment has included a fundus camera, which is a retinal screening test that can play a crucial role in the early diagnosis and prevention of many eye conditions and can also detect other health conditions.
These include glaucoma, diabetes, inflammatory disorders, age-related macular degeneration and vascular occlusions.
