The largest empty retail unit in Skegness is expected to be returned to use ‘before summer’ after three months laying dormant.
The Hildreds Centre has announced that Home Bargains, the discount retailers, will be up-scaling from its current unit to the former Co-operative Food Store next door.
A spokesperson said: “We are pleased to announce that the Hildreds Shopping Centre has completed a lease agreement with Home Bargains which will be up-sizing from its existing unit and moving into the centre’s former Co-Op store.
“As one of the centre’s existing retailers this is a positive step to fill the large newly vacant unit. It is hoped the new store will open its doors before the summer.”
Home Bargains, however, has remained tight-lipped about the nature of its move.
“Unfortunately, at this moment, Home Bargains is unable to confirm any details,” a spokesperson said.
The move will leave Home Bargains’ current unit vacant, with no news yet available about its prospective tenants.
