Gunby Hall staff are delighted after their latest Regency re-enactment day broke visitor number records.
Around 800 visitors visited the National Trust site for a fun day out filled with sunshine and period charm.
There were recitals, dancing as well as a chance to meet the Prince Regent.
“Our visitors really enjoyed meeting all the Regency re-enactors that mingled with visitors in our hall and gardens,” said House Manager Astrid Gatenby. “Many visitors took the chance to join in with the dancing and had their photo taken with one of the gorgeous looking ladies or gents in period costume.
“It was lovely to see so many people bringing picnics and making a day of it,” Astrid added.
Gunby Hall and Gardens will be open four days a week throughout the summer from 11am to 5pm and then back to two days a week in September and October.
