A new 28-foot high lighthouse is set to feature near Skegness seafront.

The new development is proposed for the boating lake as part of three new buildings.

Owner Brian O’Connor described the move as ‘exciting’ and said further highlighted the confidence being shown in the resort, pointing to the neighbouring aquarium development.

Mr O’Connor was the previous owner of the former Panda’s Palace site, not East Lindsey District Council as previously stated.

He built the childrens play area from scratch in 1986.

He said he hoped to reveal an artist’s impression of the new lighthouse feature within the next few weeks.
