Over 500 people flocked to Gunby Hall on Sunday to enjoy the sight of dozens of classic cars.
Ninety-two classic and MG cars attended the ‘Drive Your Classic Car Day’ event in the grounds.
The tea-room, gardens and hall were brimming with people and the site’s staff, small army of volunteers and record-breaking 535 visitors all had a great time.
House manager, Astrid Gatenby, said: “This April we already had double the visitors we had for the whole of April in 2012, so 2013 is promising to be a record year for us.
“We hope that the increase in opening days and opening more rooms in the hall will bring in many more visitors in the coming months,” she added.
Go to www.nationaltrust.org.uk/gunby-hall for opening times at the hall. Their next big event is a Regency Re-enactment Day on Bank Holiday Monday, May 27. Gunby will be transported back in time to ‘Jane Austen’ days with lots of activities for all and many attendees dressed in regency outfits. Normal admission charges apply.
